
Quite simply, we believe that companies do well when they do
good - for their employees, their customers, their communities and
the planet. People Report began tracking and measuring the impact
of issues like diversity, community involvement, and real
commitment to the well being of employees from the very start.
Today we know it matters. We take all of these values into
consideration each year when we present our Best Practices awards,
our annual Heart of the Workplace award, and especially our Legacy
Award. We have learned that leaders who embrace social
responsibility as a mission critical value tend to attract talent,
encourage engagement, develop raving fans in the marketplace, and
in the end outrun the competition.

People Report is an ally of Share Our Strength,
City Year , the Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality
Association, and the Women's Foodservice Forum.
We individually support many other organizations, including our
churches, schools, animal welfare groups, international
peacekeeping, local recycling and Habitat for Humanity. In 2008 we
added an opportunity for community service to our annual Best
Practices conference. Executives from our member companies, along
with our partners spent the morning at the North Texas Food Bank
packing boxes of foods for the needy in the Dallas community. In
2009, as we launched our sister company Black Box Intelligence, we
committed to donate 5% of our membership fees to charity. "Paying
it Forward" may be a new buzz term, but at People Report we have
believed it since we started.
